Let’s put design on the back burner today and talk about clothes! More specifically, let’s talk about dresses! With Christmas on the horizon, many of us will be looking for something to wear to a Christmas party. Now I’m not a teenager (shocking, I know), so for me to find a dress that is the appropriate length and pretty has been a struggle for some time now. If the dress is too long, I feel like I’m melting into the floor. If it is too short, I end up showing a part of my leg that is better off left to the imagination. ha.
Lately, I’ve been drawn to lace. Maybe it’s the influence of Princess Kate or Mad Men. It’s so romantic and feminine. However, finding the right amount of lace and the right cut is a little tricky. I went window shopping on the Neiman Marcus site and these are my faves…
I like the way the beaded belt sits a little higher, at the natural waist. The keyhole plunge in the front is lovely without being too revealing and the cap sleeves are adorable.
The sparkle on this blue lace dress is really nice. I like the sheer portion of the dress and scalloped hem. So pretty.
This dress is a little on the plain side, but with a ribbon belt and some gorgeous earrings, I think I might like this one.
I also checked out the Nordstrom site, and found a few I liked…
I love the peplum on this dress.
What a great dress! It’s feminine, flirty, and sophisticated all in one! Love.
Which one is your favorite?
